Therapists of the Future
We look to the past to walk towards the future.
The Training and Research Center at Sacha Q’ente is a project in its early stages of development, born with the mission of recovering the legacy of Traditional Andean-Amazonian Medicine (MTAAZ). By protecting, studying and spreading this legacy, we are collaborating with the development of the medicine of the future, in which science and tradition integrate to bring a new re-structuring medicine to humanity.
Our Objectives
Promote the recovery, maintenance, development and re-valuing of ancestral Andean-Amazonian knowledge and techniques of healing through research, application, dissemination, training and education.
Develop training and specialization programs for therapists and healers of the future based on traditional medicine (MTAAZ), psychotherapy, spiritual traditions, ecology, and the coexistence of man with nature, without altering the ancestral techniques and rituals.
Contribute to research for conservation, protection, reproduction, use and commercialization of the biodiversity of herbs, plants, roots and fruits of the Amazon jungle in a sustainable manner.
Develop an environmental model to sustain the forest so that the forest sustains us, so that our mutual coexistence guarantees its preservation.
Reforest at the same time as we use what the forest gives us, without destroying it.
All of these objectives are based on the principle of Ayni, the principle of reciprocity, one of the pillars of the ancient prehispanic civilizations. In the principle of Ayni, one gives to nature and then nature also gives to us. Both coexist, preserving people and preserving the forest, the animals, the plants, and all the biodiversity that is the richness we must leave for the next generations.
