According to the theory of MTAAZ, addiction is a disease of spiritual deficiency, and should be approached as such. The person feels an emptiness and a need to find meaning in life, and, not knowing how to do so, fills the void with substances.
Addiction is not fought, rather the object of the addiction becomes centered inside oneself. There is a specific protocol of plants to cleanse and detoxify, after which the Ayahuasca ceremonies are performed. When the patient reconnects with their own being, the experience is unparalleled, and often they comment that no consumable substance is equal to the experience of the spiritual encounter.
